mwbgParastacidae mwbwHuxley, 1879 è una mwcafamiglia di mwcqcrostacei mwcgdecapodi che ha il suo mwcwareale nel solo mwdaemisfero meridionale.

Si tratta di una famiglia dalla tipica mwdgunità tassonomica relativa ai continenti derivati dalla rottura del mwdwGondwana mweamesozoico i cui membri viventi sono sparsi tra mweqAmerica del Sud, mwegAfrica, nel mwewMadagascar, e mwfaOceania, in mwfqAustralia, mwfgNuova Guinea e mwfwNuova Zelanda, mentre quelle estinte sono state rinvenute in mwgaAntartide.
